The weather station is a Davis Wireless Vantage Pro2 with Fan-Aspirated Radiation Shield purchased from ambientweather.com. The instruments are solar powered and the solar panel is facing SSE. The anemometer is mounted about 18 feet off the ground. Due to many trees and building structures, the wind velocity reading tends to be somewhat inaccurate. Data is collected through a Davis Vantage Pro2 console as well as a Davis Vantage Pro2 Envoy connected to a Sheeva Plug running Meteohub on Debian Linux.
