I’ve lived in Bloomington, MN since 2005, and started the Overlook Circle weather station website in 2007. I’d always had bird feeders in the yard, but decided to consolidate them into one big feeder station, and then thought it would be fun to have a webcam on it, so that’s how Feeder Cam was born. I also started to tackle all the invasive plants and mess of weeds that the previous owners had let take over the yard, and have learned a lot about native gardening in the process. When I’m not busy with those things, I spend time as a volunteer at nearby Richardson Nature Center, the Raptor Center, and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. I also participate in at least one Christmas Bird Count each year, Project FeederWatch, and the Great Backyard Bird Count.
